Divination in the Bible
Divination is the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means. In the Bible, divination is often associated with pagan or occult practices that are condemned as sinful by God.
One of the key teachings in the Word of God regarding divination is found in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, where it says, "There shall not be found among you anyone who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord."
Furthermore, in Galatians 5:19-20, divination is listed as one of the works of the flesh that are contrary to the teachings of Christ. It is considered a form of idolatry and rebellion against God's will.
Overall, the Bible teaches that divination is a sin and goes against the will of God. Instead of seeking knowledge through occult practices, believers are encouraged to seek guidance and wisdom from God through prayer, studying His Word, and relying on His Holy Spirit.
