Scientific Approach

The woolly mammoth, which went extinct around 4,000 years ago, has left behind well-preserved remains in the frozen tundra of Siberia. Scientists plan to extract DNA from these remains and combine it with the DNA of a closely related species, such as the Asian elephant. By merging the DNA of these two species, the researchers hope to create a hybrid embryo that exhibits traits from both.

Implementation Process
